How DxNEWS works

DxNEWS is an AI-assisted medical technology news and evidence summary service. It exists to answer one question clearly for every story: what's actually confirmed, and what's only claimed?

What DxNEWS is not

DxNEWS does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment recommendations. It does not evaluate whether a product is safe or effective for any individual. Nothing on this site should be used to make a medical decision. Always consult a qualified healthcare professional and verify anything important against the original source.

How a story gets published

  1. Sources are checked on a schedule — not continuously, and not every source at the same frequency.
  2. New items are compared against sources already covered to avoid duplicates.
  3. An AI model extracts the specific claims being made and where each one comes from.
  4. Claims are separated into what's directly supported by a regulatory record or peer-reviewed source, versus what's only stated by a company or one uncorroborated source.
  5. A fixed set of rules — not an AI judgment call — decides whether a story is published. High-risk claims (diagnosis, treatment, cure, safety) are only published when they come directly from an authoritative source, quoted narrowly.
  6. There is currently no human editorial review step before publication. This is disclosed here deliberately, and is why the publication rules above are intentionally conservative — a story is skipped rather than published when the evidence is unclear.

Source tiers

Every source is labeled by tier, shown on each story:

Corrections

If a published story is found to be materially wrong, it will be updated with a visible correction rather than silently edited.
